Fisher-Unitech Acquires SolidWorks Software Business Unit from R&D Technologies Inc.
TROY -- Fisher-Unitech, a product lifecycle management provider, Monday announced its acquisition of R&D Technologies Inc.'s SolidWorks software business, which operates in New England and the state of New York.
SolidWorks 3D computer-aided design software provides best-in-class tools for product design, validation, technical communications and data management.
R&D Technologies' SolidWorks customers are located throughout the northeast and consist of manufacturing companies in all facets of discrete manufacturing. These customers will benefit from immediate access to new products and value-added services that will now be available to them from Fisher-Unitech. Of particular importance to customers in the area will be the availability of Enterprise PLM modules that compliment the SolidWorks Enterprise PDM functionality.

SupportExpress also provides online bill paying and transaction history, an online catalog with secure shopping cart functionality and access to the Support Hour webcast archive.
Another important customer advantage is access to Fisher-Unitech's 3DU online education system. 3DU offers customers the option to take SolidWorks courses online via an interactive environment, delivering unparalleled convenience and flexibility.
