Fire Destroys Home In Washington Township
WASHINGTON TWP. (WWJ) - A four-alarm fire ravaged the inside of a stately colonial revival home in Washington Township.
WWJ's Kathryn Larson reports that the fire started within the subdivision on Julian Court near 26 Mile and Mound roads.
Firefighters spent most of the afternoon shooting water from atop high ladders onto what was left of the roof on the brick colonial.
"We are trying to extinguish hot spots - we're having a difficult time reaching some of these hot spots because we had a collapse of the roof," said Washington Township Fire Sgt. Dennis Milliar.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
