Fire Causes Extensive Damage To Local Meat Market
DEARBORN (WWJ) - A Dearborn businessman says he plans to rebuild after a Friday morning fire devastated his store.
Nazem Saad owns the Bint Jbeil Meat market in the H&R Plaza on Wyoming near Warren.
Firefighters quickly put out the flames, but there's a lot of damage.
Talking to WWJ Newsradio 950's Mike Campbell, Sadd said he's been having problems lately with the electrical system.
"I called DTE last week and they came ... to check the electric on Monday, last Monday. And they said the power is too high," Saad said.
Saad said he accepted an expensive meat delivery just yesterday, and it's all gone to waste. But he said he's happy no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
