Fire Breaks Out At Recycling Center In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - Firefighters are trying to control a blaze at a warehouse in Detroit. Authorities say the scene of the fire is at a waste-free recycling center on 7 Mile Road, just west of Outer Drive.
Plumes of black smoke can be seen billowing from the building, from as far away as 13 Mile and Groesbeck on the city's eastside.
Fire officials say there are some hazardous materials involved that crews are dealing with now. As a precaution 7 Mile is closed between Outer Drive and Van Dyke. Click here for up-to-date traffic information.
