Ferndale Police Arrest 2 In Separate Chases

FERNDALE (WWJ) - Ferndale police have arrested two people involved in separate high speed chases within just hours of each other.

Officials say 37-year-old Detroiter Aaron Herron led police on a chase from Hazel Park into Ferndale. He crashed into a street sign, fled, but was caught. According to police he was on parole for murder.

Just hours later, police stopped 38 year-old Detroiter Michael Jones for suspected drunk driving. After handing over his license, police say he fled but also crashed. He was arrested.

Police said Jones has several warrants out for his arrest from other jurisdictions and has 13 suspensions on his license.

Each man is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
