Feds To Tour Closed Mich. Prison - Again
Federal officials will soon be returning to the now-closed Standish prison in Northern Michigan -- to see if it can be used as a federal prison.
They'll spend at least two days in Standish later this morning. If interested, the next step would be to conduct an environmental study. The tour comes almost a year after federal officials considered using Standish to house Guantanamo Bay detainees there.
