FBI Raids Southfield Pawn Shop
SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - A Southfield pawn shop, which was part of a corruption probe, has been raided by the FBI.
The FBI won't say much about what it's looking for, but the agency confirms they executed a search warrant at Zeidman's Jewelry and Loan in Southfield. The store was part of the bribery scandal that landed political consultant Sam Riddle behind bars.
Southfield Councilman William Lattimore and former State Representative Mary Waters also were charged in the bribery scheme to help Zeidmans move to a new location.
Federal agents moved in around 9 a.m. Thursday. They wrapped up the search 3 hours later.
