FBI Joins Search For Boy Missing From Mich. Tribe
MOUNT PLEASANT (WWJ) - The FBI has joined an investigation into the disappearance of a 4-year-old boy from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe in mid-Michigan that authorities are calling "suspicious."
A statement from the tribe says investigators have indicated they have a person of interest in mind. Carnell Chamberlain was reported missing Thursday night by his family.
Chamberlain was last seen around 9:30 p.m. in a pool area on Tomah Road, south of the Soaring Eagle Casino, wearing a dark shirt with "Angry Birds" on the front with dark blue or green shorts with green trim. The boy is described as three feet tall with short dark hair and green eyes.
More than a dozen agencies and hundreds of volunteers searched a 1-mile radius of where Chamberlain was last was seen, about 120 miles northwest of Detroit.
Police say an Amber Alert has not yet been issued.
