Fatal Shooting At Detroit Barbershop
DETROIT (WWJ) - One person was killed and two others were hurt in a shooting Tuesday at a barbershop on Detroit's west side.
WWJ Newsradio 950's Marie Osborne reported a crowd gathered to watch as police cleaned up blood on the sidewalk outside the Visible Change barber shop on Joy Road near Dexter.
A witness said a customer had gone out to his car to get something but ran back into the shop when he saw someone coming. That's when shots were fired into the shop, fatally wounding a 24-year-old customer and injuring two others.
A Detroit police spokesperson said the shooter remained at large Tuesday afternoon as the investigation continues.
The conditions of the two injured victims were not immediately known. No names have been released.
One witness said the shop is a gathering spot for the community.
