Fatal Crash, One Of Several On I-94
A man was killed in one of several crashes along I-94 in the Port Huron area Monday afternoon.
WWJ spoke with Port Huron Township Fire Chief Craig Miller who said the victim perished when his SUV overturned on the freeway, between Range Road and I-69.
"The initial call we had was for a person they believe was struck by a vehicle. As our units arrived on location, we found that that there was indeed one person who had succumbed to injured," Miller said. "It looked like he was ejected. His vehicle was found some distance away from him and it had damage indication that it had rolled over," he said.
The victim was not immediatly identified.
The crash, along with several others behind it, closed I-94 early in the afternoon commute between Range Road and I-69. Miller said one of the other accidents included a jackknife semi.
