Fatal Carjacking In Detroit: SUV Owner Shoots Assailant
A fatal shooting in Detroit, and it started as a car-jacking at a Citgo gas station at Fenkell and Schaefer.
Detroit Police Sgt Eren Stephens tells WWJ, a man attempted to carjack an SUV Tuesday evening.
The owner of the vehicle was then shot in the face. The victim was able to return gunfire and shot the carjacker, who later died.
Police say the owner of the SUV is in stable condition at a local hospital. Sgt Stephens also says the victim has a valid CCW permit to carry a weapon.
