Whale Call Gets Farmington Hills Woman Picked For 'The Price Is Right'
On Wednesday, March 28, Farmington Hills resident Savannah L. Smith will be asked to "come on down" to contestants row on "The Price is Right." Watch the episode on CBS 62 at 11 a.m. Detroit resident Tina Dorsey will also appear on the episode.
Smith said, "The five hour wait was worth it."
The excited Oakland University student stood out of the crowd by doing a whale call. Yeah, you guessed it -- Smith, an aspiring Marine Biologist, obliged the show's producers and did her best impression of a vocalizing whale. She also let them know that she was once a cheerleader and would proove it if they put her on stage.
Smith was the first to be called down to contestant's row. She didn't stay there long, winning the bid on the second round. She made good on the gymnastics promise and pulled off her best back handspring. Smith admitted that she half-regretted showing off her stomach to viewers nationwide.
After a giving a hug to host Drew Carey, Smith played "Coming or Going" where she won a 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle. Not being a biker herself -- she plans to sell the bike to buy a car. Some friends have suggested that she give the bike to her dad.
When asked to comment about what Drew Carey is like she said, "Awesome. He's very interactive with the audience."
By the way, Smith's favorite "The Price Is Right" game is the fan favorite, Plinko.
