Farmington Hills Police Put Out Alert About Man With A Rifle
FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - Farmington Hills police on Friday put out an alert to the public about an armed man.
Police said they were searching the area northeast of 13 Mile and Halsted roads after receiving reports about an unknown man who walking around carrying a rifle.
Citizens were asked to call 911 if they spotted the suspect, described only as a white male in his 60s wearing jeans.
In a follow-up alert sent out at around 4 p.m., police said an "extensive search" for the man had been suspended after investigators were unable to locate him.
There were no reports of injuries or shots fired and it's unclear at this time if the man poses a threat to the community. No additional information is being released by police at this time.
