Fans Line Up For Hockey Fest At The Joe
DETROIT (WWJ) - A fun day for Detroit Red Wings fans as many are getting to meet their favorite players at Hockey Fest Saturday at Joe Louis Arena.
WWJ Newsradio 950's Beth Fischer reports from the Joe where many of the fans spent $25 to attend hockey fest, tour the locker room and take part in interactive zones.
Erich Huegli of Lansing loved being a part of the pre-season hockey fun.
"This is a great time, it's almost better than season ticket open house - a lot more activities," said Huegli.
Kimberly Ryback of Warren was getting lots of autographs:
"This is awesome ... this is the 'gold ticket' which allows us to get two autographs from every Red Wings player on the roster," said Ryback.
Redwings like Nick Lidstrom, Drew Miller and Patrick Eaves signed autographs and had their pictures taken with the fans.
