DETROIT – The 2013 Detroit Tigers Winter Events will launch this Thursday and will be available through your very own home computer or mobile device. In order to give fans the feeling they are traveling on the caravan with the players, the Tigers will be updating their official Twitter (@Tigers), official Twitter en español (@TigresdeDetroit), official Facebook (facebook.com/tigers) as well as the official Instagram tigers.com/Instagram (@Tigers) with pictures, video and the latest updates from the Caravan and the 18th annual TigerFest!
For the first time, fans will be able to share their experiences and pictures from the Winter Caravan and TigerFest with people from all over the world by using the official hashtag of the Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan (#DETCaravan) and TigerFest, (#TigerFest) on Twitter and Instagram. No matter where you are, you can track the Tigers live each day by visiting Tigers.com/caravan and Tigers.com/TigerFest. TigerFest will include the Tigers first-ever Social Media Clubhouse. Fans attending TigerFest and following the Detroit Tigers Twitter account @tigers will have the opportunity to participate in exclusive interactive experiences with Tigers players in a unique environment.
The 2013 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan is set for Thursday, January 24 and Friday January 25, and features an exciting lineup of appearances throughout Metro Detroit and around the state of Michigan. Tigers front office personnel, coaches, players along with broadcasters and Detroit's favorite mascot, PAWS, will all take part in the journey across the region. Following the Winter Caravan will be TigerFest on Saturday, January 26 which is a great opportunity for fans to interact with their favorite Tigers. TigerFest is sold out, but will feature a main stage with content streaming live on tigers.com/tigerfest from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m
