If you collect autographs you know that some are tougher than others to obtain, but apparently if you're willing to wait you can get just about anybody's. And when I say wait, I mean wait.

Joshua Kusnick posted photos on his Twitter account May 22 of some autographed cards he got back from former NHL player Robert Lang. It's pretty cool for any professional athlete to respond through the mail and send back their actual signature.

There was only one small little problem: Kusnick got the mail back 17 years after he had sent it. The letter was sent on January 10, 1999, and he got it back on May 16, 2016. That is quite the turn around.

The bigger the athlete, the less chance you actually have of getting something back. For instance, if you were to send mail to Michael Jordan, you would get back a thank you card with a fake signature asking you to join the fan club.

Lang actually sent back hand-autographed cards.

To be honest, I am shocked he got anything back at all. I wonder where that letter was sitting for so long and what made Lang decide to send if off now? Whatever the matter was, it is pretty awesome that he did send back the autographed cards.
