Fall Begins With Summer-Like Temps

The first full day of fall begins with summer-like temperatures that will likely have air conditioners running.

AccuWeather forecasters say temperatures will reach 88 Thursday, but fall-like weather is expected by the weekend.

Severe weather is expected in northern Michigan. AccuWeather says up to four inches of rain is expected in parts of the Upper Peninsula and may cause flooding.

Here's the AccuWeather-WWJ forecast:

Thursday: Breezy, hot and humid with times of clouds and some sun. High 88.

Partly cloudy, breezy and warm Thursday night. Low 70.

Friday: Windy and warm with clouds and some sun; a shower or gusty thunderstorm or two. High 81.

Saturday: Breezy and much cooler with some sunshine. High 67.

Sunday: Times of clouds and sunshine. High again 67.
