Fab Five From Fithian
1. Rich Rodriquez needs to do all UM fans a favor and just go out and win this game on Saturday. I know that Michigan can still get to seven wins and somehow save RR's job but there's not going to be any fan confidence in the coach moving forward unless there's a win Saturday. It's a must win to stuff out any Spartan hope. It's a must win for M fans who can't stand watching this UM defense but may tolerate it if UM can beat MSU.
2. The 2009 NFL draft will always have Lions fans comparing Matt Stafford and Jets Mark Sanchez -- who were both taken in the 1st round at one and five. The Delmas/Chung comparison should be one to follow as well in the games left this season and beyond. The Lions picked safety Louis Delmas (33) with the 1st pick in the second round followed by the Patriots selection of Oregon safety Patrick Chung(34). Chung was spectacular on MNF against the Dolphins blocking a punt and field goal while returning an interception 51 yards for a score.
3. How could the builders of the Joe Louis Arena not have thought of utilizing the river front? Terrible
4. Speaking of the Joe I think they could improve everything about the place except the product on the ice. That's why I love the place. It's all about the game.
5. Props to Pat Caputo who since watching Denard Robinson play in high school has told me every time we talked UM football that Robinson could do exactly what he's doing now.
