Everett Seay Pleads Guilty To Accepting Bribes
DETROIT (AP) - A former Pontiac city councilman has pleaded guilty to accepting bribes.
The U.S. Attorney's office says 61-year-old Everett Seay entered his plea in U.S. District Court in Detroit.
The man who wanted to open a money-handling business actually was an undercover agent. The alleged crimes occurred in 2008 and 2009 when Seay was on the Pontiac council.
Seay faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Sentencing is scheduled for June 26.
