Event To Chronicle Convergence Of Ag, Manufacturing

Agriculture and manufacturing have always jostled with tourism as Michigan's No. 1, 2 and 3 industries.

Now, an invitation-only event will tackle the escalating convergence between agriculture and manufacturing.

The Bio-Ag Business Breakfast Forum is an educational and networking opportunity which provides information on issues, trends and programs available to the agricultural community, the bio research network and those who support its advancement.

Speakers include Doug Gage, director of the Michigan State University Bio Economy Network, Stephen Rapundalo, president and CEO of MichBio, and Peter Pellerito, vice president of government relations and alliance development at the National Biotechnology Industry Association.

The meeting will feature the unveiling of Autobiography, an in-depth report on trends in
Michigan's growing Bio/Ag industry.

The event begins with networking at 7:30 a.m. and the program from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the  Walnut Hills Country Club, 2874 E. Lake Lansing Road, East Lansing.
