Right Place sets Auto Summit: Grand Rapids' economic development agency Right Place Inc. will host the 2011 West Michigan Automotive Summit Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Grand Valley State University Eberhard Center, 301 W. Fulton St., Grand Rapids. Registration is $85 for the event only and $100 for the event and the luncheon to follow. Today's new automotive platforms are "computers on wheels." The level of digital content is integrated into every inch of the vehicle. Increasing demands for fuel efficiency and performance are driving the automotive design cycle to a frenzied 2-3 year pace.
