Tech Communicators To Meet On "Developing the Corporate Story": The Society for Technical Communication - Southeast Michigan will meet Monday, April 2 at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield on the topic "Developing the Corporate Story." Presenters will include Lawrence Tech professors Corinne Stavish and Dino Baskovic and Lawrence Tech graduate students. Every business, corporation, and institution has a story. How do we get it, formulate it, and tell through various media? Students in an innovative course, Developing the corporate story (which is part of the "Writing for the Digital Age Certificate" in the Master of Science in Technical and Professional Communication Program at Lawrence Tech), will share the results of their journey to create that story and develop it in a specific medium. The meeting will be held in Room C406 of the Alfred Taubman Student Center, with registration and networking at 6 p.m., opening remarks at 6:30 and the presentation from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Register via email to vicepresident@stc-sm.org, on-line at http://stc-sm0412.eventbrite.com/ or in person. It's free for students and Lawrence Tech faculty, $10 for STC members and $25 for others. Finger food, light snacks and beverages will be provided.
