MCWT Sets ConnectNet Forum: The Michigan Council of Women in Technology will hold its next ConnectNet Forum on Tuesday, Jan. 8 on the topic "Increasing Your Influence without Authority." Nearly everyone in an organization is a follower. Join us for an interactive workshop and learn just how little difference there is between leadership and exemplary followership. This workshop will enable you to understand the key differences and similarities of leader and follower credibility; assess and build your credibility and visibility. Learn the four followership styles and how to increase your impact; and review and develop strategies to increase your level of influence, even if you do not have authority. Presenter Kelly Petrock is the president of the LEAD Institute & General Systems Consulting Group. He has more than 20 years of global experience in change management, organizational development, leadership development, performance improvement, group psychology, and human behavior. An RSVP is needed to ensure your spot; register online at www.mcwt.org. For more information, please contact events@mcwt.org. The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. with registration at 5:30 p.m. at Epitec, 24800 Denso Drive, Suite 150 in Southfield. The event is free to MCWT members, $10 for nonmembers and $5 for students.
