Online Tech, High Bit Security Hosting PCI DSS Compliance Webinar: Ann Arbor-based Online Tech Inc. welcomes Adam Goslin, co-founder of High Bit Security, to share his expertise on PCI DSS compliance in a free webinar series. The series of three webinars will start with an overview of PCI DSS compliance, continue with a detailed analysis of the requirements, and finish with a discussion of how to use penetration testing to improve network and application layer security. PCI DSS stands for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, and is a compliance standard founded in 2004 as a result of the combination of five different security programs in operation at the time by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, JCB and American Express. The intent of this standard is to protect cardholder data through an approach that covers every aspect of a technology based solution from policies through infrastructure and everything in between. Due to the comprehensive nature of a PCI DSS compliance endeavor, the impacts are felt across the entire organization, and are applicable for every company that receives, stores or transmits cardholder data. For large organizations, compliance efforts culminate with the affirmation from a QSA (Qualified Security Assessor), whose job it is to assess organizations against the PCI DSS standards and are certified to do so via the PCI Security Standards Council.
