Police: Estranged Husband Wanted In Fatal Shooting Of 2 Women

DETROIT (WWJ) — Police say two women were shot and killed on Detroit's southwest side early Saturday morning, possibly by the estranged husband of one of the victims.

The incident happened near Cahalan and Springwells Streets around 3 a.m. when the suspect, Pablo Medina, approached a vehicle that the two women -- one who was his wife -- were sitting in.

Shots were fired into the vehicle, striking the driver, a 27-year-old woman. Medina's 42-year-old wife exited the vehicle from the passenger side and attempted to run away before being fatally shot.

Medina and his wife were in the process of getting a divorce, police say.

Authorities are on the lookout for Medina, who was last seen wearing a blue and white t-shirt and blue jeans while driving a silver and blue Chevy Camero.

He is to be considered armed and dangerous.

If anyone recognizes the suspect or has any information pertaining to this crime, please call Detroit Police Homicide at 313-596-2260.
