Prince Fielder left a sour taste in Tigers fans' mouths after the 2013 season. After watching this video your face my pucker just a little bit more.
Prince seems to have reinvented himself in the offseason since being traded from the Tigers. ESPN has posted a video of Fielder's offseason workouts.
Sporting his newly short haircut the slimmer looking Fielder is using MMA as a training device. Fielder said: "Years past I was lifting weights and lifting heavy, I'm getting older, I'm almost 30 now."
"I have a fear of failure, for me I'm working all that fear away. Our sport is a team sport, but my team can't be in the box while I'm hitting so for me I never want to let my team down or my teammates, I'm eliminating fear," he adds.
Prince also says he feels he is in the best shape of his life.
This certainly sounds like a different Fielder than the one who slouched away from Detroit, although no one really knows what happened in the Tigers clubhouse besides Fielder and some of his teammates.
In the video, Prince talks about how he found out he was traded and the critics, also saying personal issues had nothing to do with his time here with the Tigers.
Fielder was traded from the Detroit Tigers on November 20 to the Texas Rangers for Ian Kinsler. In his two season with the Tigers Fielder hit .295 with 55 HRs with 214 RBI while playing in every game.
Everyone remembers the comments that Prince had after the game 6 loss. Click HERE to view the video.
