ESPN, Big Ten, ACC Announce Times And TV Schedule For Challenge Match-Ups
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan men's basketball team will host N.C. State on Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN as all Big Ten/ACC Challenge game times and TV were announced by ESPN, the Big Ten and ACC on Tuesday (Aug. 7).
The Wolverines' game against the Wolfpack is part of the opening day doubleheader on ESPN, as North Carolina heads to Indiana at 9:30 p.m. Other Tuesday games include Minnesota at Florida State (7:15 p.m., ESPN2) and Iowa at Virginia Tech (7:15 p.m., ESPNU) in the early session followed by Maryland at Northwestern (9:15 p.m., ESPN2) and Nebraska at Wake Forest (9:15 p.m., ESPNU) to close the day's first six games.
The second day opens with Virginia at Wisconsin (7:00 p.m., ESPN2), Purdue at Clemson (7:15 p.m., ESPNU) and Michigan State at Miami (7:30 p.m., ESPN). The Challenge wraps up with Georgia Tech at Illinois (9:00 p.m., ESPN2), Boston College at Penn State (9:15 p.m., ESPNU) and Ohio State at Duke (9:30 p.m., ESPN).
Michigan has played in 11 of the 13 Challenge series and holds a 4-7 overall mark. The Wolverines are 2-3 in games hosted in Ann Arbor and last hosted a challenge game against Boston College in 2009. U-M has faced N.C. State twice in Challenge games, winning 68-61 at Crisler Center (Dec. 2, 2003) and dropping a 74-67 decision at the RBC Center (Nov. 27, 2006).
Last year, the Big Ten won 8-4 to claim its third straight Commissioner's Cup. Overall the ACC has won 10 challenge titles.
