Employee Stabbed At Westland Taco Bell
An armed robbery inside a Westland Taco Bell has sent one employee to a local hospital.
It happened around 9 a.m. Monday at the Taco Bell restaurant on Merriman and Cherry Hill Road. Westland Police Sergeant Daniel Serrano says two males forced their way inside with knives and stabbed the worker - who is expected to be okay.
"It's a non-life threatening wound," Serrano told WWJ.
Serrano says they are investigating whether or not the robbery was an inside job.
"The suspects forced an employee back into the business, so it was a robbery that happened before the business opened," he said.
During the robbery, the crime duo got away with cash and gift cards. Anyone with information on this crime is urged to contract Westland Police.
