Early-Morning Accident On M-39 Adds To Traffic Woes
DEARBORN (WWJ) - The southbound Southfield Freeway at Ford Road -- already bogged down with construction -- had to be closed temporarily Tuesday because of an early-morning rush-hour accident.
Reporting live from the scene, WWJ's Mike Campbell says it appears four people suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident.
Two adults and two children - believed to be under 10 years old - were in a Ford Explorer SUV. Police telling Mike that the female driver was either approaching or getting off the exit at Ford Road and swerved to miss a bucket or some other debris that was flying around in the roadway and the SUV rolled over.
Southbound M-39 at Ford Road was closed off-and-on during the early morning hours.
