DTE Plans Intentional Power Outage
DETROIT (WWJ) - Several thousand Detroit residents will be without power for about six hours next month.
DTE Energy plans to blackout the neighborhood between Six and Seven Mile Road, and Woodward and Dequindre to do some repair work. A spokesperson says the outage will take place at 6 a.m. on January 4 and affect about 3,500 residents.
They expect to restore the power around noon.
DTE plans a media campaign closer to the time of the outage to make sure the residents are not caught off guard.
