Andre Drummond is slipping in NBA All-Star voting, in the latest returns released on Thursday. He was in third place in the returns released a week ago.
The top three frontcourt players from each conference will be chosen as starters, along with the top two guards. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, and starters will be announced next Thursday.
Drummond leads the league in rebounding this year, with 15.4 per game (5.4 on the offensive end), and in double-doubles, with 32 (eight more than second-place Russell Westbrook). Drummond also averages 18 points in his 34.3 minutes a game. And although his free-throw percentage is still low (36 percent), Drummond is making 53.1 percent of his shots, the best on the team.
About 7,000 votes separate Drummond from the current third-place frontcourt player in the East, the Knicks' Carmelo Anthony.
Reggie Jackson is the only other Piston currently represented on the All-Star ballot, albeit in a low position. He's in 10th place among Eastern Conference guards.
