Drivers Trapped In Vehicles After Wrong-Way Crash On Lodge Freeway
DETROIT (WWJ) - Rescue crews had to use the Jaws of Life to remove two people from their vehicles after a wrong-way driver caused a serious accident on the Lodge Freeway.
Michigan State Police say the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Saturday on southbound M-10 between West Grand Boulevard and I-94 on Detroit's west side.
Two drivers, who were trapped inside their vehicles, were rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries. Their current conditions are unknown. Identities have not yet been released.
It wasn't immediately clear if alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Police are expected to release more information on the incident later Saturday.
