Driver Sought In Fatal Hit-And-Run
Troy police are looking for a pickup truck driver involved in a deadly hit and run accident Wednesday morning.
Police say a 76-year old man was killed after getting out of his truck to collect some material that fell out of his truck on Dequindre Road near Long Lake.
The accident happened about 7:20 a.m. The victim, who is from Oakland Township, was taken to Troy Beaumont Hospital, but died from extensive injuries.
Police say they are looking for a 1997 to 2003 black Ford F-150 pick-up truck. The suspect's vehicle that hit the victim has front-end damage and a broken headlight. Witnesses say they saw the truck continue on southbound Dequindre and then eastbound on Long Lake Road.
