Driver Injured In Beer Truck Rollover Crash
FINDLAY, Ohio (WWJ) - A Downriver man was hospitalized after his tractor-trailer full of beer overturned along U.S. 68 in Findlay, Ohio, south of Toledo.
Police said 55-year old Michael Gorney of Brownstown was at the wheel of the rig just before 3 a.m. Thursday when he lost control. The tractor and trailer then rolled and slid northbound across the intersection, before striking the guard rail and fence.
A rescue crew from the Findlay Fire Department pulled Gorney from the vehicle, and he was taken to the hospital.
Crews spent the morning cleaning up spilled of beer and diesel fuel.
It's not clear what caused the crash as an investigation continues.
