Down Go The Ho Hos

The age of Hostess Brands is over. Pour one out for your homey and shed one golden, spongy, frosting filled tear. They tried to hold on, but after their employees decided to strike, Hostess asked the court for permission to go out of business. The closing means the loss of 18,500 jobs. Talk about calling a bluff!

What will happen to the iconic snack treats? It is possible that other companies will pick up the assets and save things like, Ho Hos, Twinkies, Ding Dongs, and Wonder Bread. Calls have been put in to Twinkie the Kid to get his opinion, but (as you would imagine) he is pretty despondent today. Don't jump into a deep fryer Kid (as delicious as that may be)!
