Doug Karsch: My Super Bowl Sunday In Indy Part 2
5:45 p.m. So Lucas Oil Stadium looks really cool but two things; 1) a bunch of women wearing #28 Giants jerseys with the name Ware on the back are the rudest people in the house. They were plowing through the crowd like its 4th and 1. Based on their behavior I hope D.J. Ware fumbles like Byner. 2) The 400 level concourse is a maze, so narrow and crooked.
8:20 p.m. The halftime show is kind of a tough watch live. Too many people on the stage to know who's who and what we should be watching.Plus we're just listening to an iPod right? The light show at the end was cool but this show is clearly for the 70 million watching on TV not the 70 thousand here.
11:30 p.m. The story of the game, the catch the G-Men made and the 3 the Patriots didn't. Welker's drop was huge and so was Branch's drop on the final drive. Both would have been tough catches but so was Manningham's. All in all a really good game to watch and Indianapolis should be proud. The city did a great job and that's a boost for non-traditional Super Bowl sites.
