DIA May Get Millions From State
State lawmakers could be painting a brighter picture for the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The DIA will likely get a $10 million gift sometime in the next year.
The plan calls for the DIA to get unspent money from various smaller budgets as of Thursday, the end of the fiscal year. The Free Press says Governor Granholm, House Speaker Andy Dillon and Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop were behind the deal.
