Detroit Woman Held Without Bond In Fatal Stabbing On DDOT Bus
DETROIT (WWJ) - A 29-year-old Detroit woman has been ordered held without bond in fatal stabbing of another woman following an argument on a city bus.
Tiffanie Edwards appeared via video from a police lockup for an arraignment in Detroit's 36th District Court. She's charged with first degree premeditated murder and habitual offender.
A not guilty plea was entered on Edwards' behalf.

Police said the 50-year-old victim was stabbed in the face and body with a knife at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon on the city's west side.
According to witnesses, the victim and the suspect had been arguing earlier; and, as the victim was getting off the DDOT bus near Grand River and Rosa Parks, the victim "bumped into" the suspect with her walker. That's when, witnessed said, younger woman pulled out a knife and started to repeatedly stab the older woman.
Edwards turned herself in Thursday after intense media coverage led to a tip to police.
A probable cause conference was scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4 and a preliminary hearing was set for Sept. 10.
Edwards faces life without parole of convicted as charged.
