Detroit Rapper Fatally Shot Outside Strip Club

DETROIT (WWJ) -- A Detroit rapper is dead after a shooting outside a strip club on Michigan Avenue in Detroit.

Police were called to the Crazy Horse Gentleman's Club at Michigan Ave. and Lonyo just after 2 a.m. on Monday. A fight reportedly spilled out onto the street from inside the club before shots were fired.

At least one person was killed. Social media postings identify the victim as a Detroit rapper known as Dex Osama.

Club owner Freddy Abdallah said Dex Osama left the club with a friend before he was set to perform, when they were shot a building away.

"Unfortunately Detroit is a high-crime city, they all have guns," Abdallah said, "so I can't control what happens after they leave. Does it upset me that it's going on? Of course it does."

A nearby gas station attendant said that he heard the commotion outside before a wounded man came inside the station asking for help.

The second man who was shot is in serious condition.

Dozens of bullet casings were seen in the parking lot of the club. Police are searching for the gunman.
