Detroit Police Shooting Raising Numerous Questions
Detroit (WWJ) - The shooting at the 6th precinct is raising numerous questions about the level of security at Detroit Police stations.
Jerome Warfield chairs the Board of Detroit Police Commissioners.
"Our major role with the department is pretty much policy. And so, um you know, we - from this incident - have to look at are there policies that need to be changed as it relates to keeping our officers safe in those precincts and districts where they have to man the desk," Warfied told WWJ Newsradio 950.
Warfield says the department doesn't want to shut the public out, but they have to make sure that officers are kept safe so that they can do their job of protecting citizens.
