Detroit Police Shoot Man On Alleged Crime Spree
A 33-year-old man was in critical condition Friday night, after he was shot while allegedly on a robbery spree on Detroit's east side. Citizens waived down a patrol unit, giving officers a detailed description of the man and his car, following several robberies Friday afternoon.
Police said the suspect was stopped near Kelly Road and Stockwell. After getting out of his vehicle, he reportedly pulled a gun on officers, and was shot.
Police said the suspect was recently released from prison last month. His name was not yet being released.
As of Friday evening, police were still looking for a second man who was also in the vehicle.
