Detroit Police Release Major Crime Summary
New in 2011, Detroit Police are asking the media to share a major crime summary report with the community. Chief Ralph Godbee says the report will assist the police department's "collective efforts in reporting major crime patterns to the public, which is an essential public service." January 01, 2011 - 6:01 a.m. to January 2, 2011 - 6:00 a.m.
01/01/10 - 3:45 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCE:
In the 6800 block of Michigan Avenue, inside a local restaurant, several suspects began harassing the victim (W/M/62). The victim exited the location and the suspect followed. As the victim entered his vehicle, the suspects approached and pulled him from his vehicle, and demanded his property. The suspects then began to assault the victim. During the physical altercation a suspect was stabbed. Police arrived on the scene and arrested the wounded suspect. The other suspects fled the scene (unknown method of escape). The suspect was treated for his injury at a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.

1) White Male, 40

1) Several unknown males - No other description (NOD).
01/01/11 - 5:30 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCE:
At a gas station, located at W. Fort and Springwells, the victim (B/M/34) and suspect had a verbal argument. The suspect fired shots and wounded the victim. The suspect fled the scene. The victim treated at local hospital and is listed in serious condition.
WANTED:
1) Black Male (armed) - NOD.
01/01/11 - 11:15 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCE:
Inside a local motel, located in the 3200 block of E. Jefferson, the victim (B/M/21) was walking through the hallway and passed a group of males. One suspect produced a weapon and fired one shot, wounding him. The victim treated at local hospital and is listed in temp-serious condition. The suspect fled on foot.
WANTED:
1) Black Male, 19 (armed) NOD.
01/02/11 - 12:50 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCE:
Inside a home located in the 6800 block of Minock, the victim (B/M/62) was stabbed by his wife during a verbal argument. The victim was treated at a local hospital and is listed in critical condition. Detroit Police arrested the suspect.

1) Black Female, 42.

CIRCUMSTANCE:
At Woodingham and Fenkell, the victim (B/M/24) was walking down the street when he was approached by the suspect, who produced a weapon, and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim. The suspect fired a shot, striking the victim in the ankle. The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim was treated at a local hospital is is listed in stable condition.
WANTED:
1) Black Male 20-25, tall, has dark skin tone, and a stocky build. He was wearing black clothing and armed with a handgun.
01/02/11 - 7:50 a.m.
CIRCUMSTANCE:
In the 14000 block of Jos Campau, three suspects entered the local business and announced a hold-up. Suspect #2 was armed with a handgun and demanded cash. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene. No one was injured.

wearing a black sweater with a hood, gray jeans, black shoes, and a black
mask.
2) Black Male, 17, 6'-1", weighs 160 lbs, has light skin tone, has a large build, and

CIRCUMSTANCE:
At Yosmite and Kay, the victim (B/M/56) was unloading his groceries in front of his home when the suspects' pulled up in a burgundy Chevrolet Malibu or Impala. The armed suspect #2 (passenger) exited the vehicle and ran towards the victim, who began to run. The suspect fired shots, striking the victim. The suspect took the victim's groceries and escaped in the above vehicle. The victim was treated at a local hospital and is listed in temp-serious condition.

1) Black Male, NOD - driver.
1) Black Male, NOD - passenger.
01/02/11 - 11:30 p.m.
CIRCUMSTANCE:
In the 18000 block of Morang, at a local gas station, the victim (B/M/27) was putting air in his tire when the suspect approached, produced a handgun and robbed the victim, taking an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect escaped in the victim's vehicle, a 997, 4-door, Chevrolet Malibu.

1) Black Male, 20-25, 5' 9", has a medium build wearing a black sweatshirt with a
hooded over his face, black sweat pants.
