Detroit Police Officers Injured In Crash
DETROIT (WWJ) - Two Detroit police officers are in stable condition following a car chase and crash Wednesday on the city's eastside.
It happened at around 9:30 a.m. near Mack Ave. and Cadieux as the two officers were trying to catch a breaking-and-entering suspect. Witnesses said the police cruiser collided with an SUV, sending glass and car parts across the roadway.
The officers are expected to fully recover. It was not immdieatly known if there were other injuries.
Several lanes on Mack were closed following the inciduent but the road has since reopened.
