Detroit Police Commissioner Arrested For Drunk Driving
DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit Police Commissioner has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk.
Detroit Police Sergeant Eren Stephens confirmed with WWJ Newsradio 950 that Police Commissioner, the Reverend Michael Reeves, was involved in an accident Friday morning
Police said Reeves crashed his car near Eastern Market. When they arrived on the scene, they could smell intoxicants.
Sgt. Stephens said Reeves was taken to the hospital and arrested. He has since been released on bond.
A warrant request has been sent to the Wayne County Prosecutor.
Reeves was appointed to the Police Commission by Mayor Dave Bing last year.
