Detroit Pistons Notes And Quotes
--The Palace becomes a "Worm" Hole on April Fool's Day. The Pistons will celebrate Dennis Rodman's career on Friday and retire his No. 10 jersey during a halftime ceremony. Rookie Greg Monroe currently wears No. 10 and he plans to discuss with Rodman whether he can keep it until he leaves the organization. No other Pistons player will wear No. 10. Rodman played 549 games with Detroit and still holds numerous rebounding records, including the most in a game (34). Former Bad Boys Isiah Thomas, John Salley and James Edwards are expected to attend the ceremony.
--There's plenty of trash-talking going on about the NCAA men's Final Four. University of Connecticut alums Richard Hamilton, Charlie Villanueva and Ben Gordon are giving plenty of grief to Kentucky grad Tayshaun Prince. Their schools play each other Saturday night in Houston.
"Tayshaun Prince and his Kentucky Wildcats must go down," Hamilton said on his Twitter account.
Everyone in the organization has heard plenty from the former Huskies.
"Ever since the tournament first started, they've been talking to all the guys and telling them they better not play Connecticut," Prince said.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"Our energy is so much better at home compared to on the road. In the NBA, if you don't come ready to play, teams find out." -- Coach John Kuester, on his club losing nine consecutive road games.
