The internet is a funny place.
All it takes is for one person to post something, then instantly everyone believes it to be true.
That's what happened Thursday morning. A twitter handle @sportslogosnet posted a story saying the Detroit Pistons are changing their logo for the 2016-17 season.
As I was sitting here looking at this logo that looked like the one the Pistons used during their "Bad Boys" days, something didn't add up.
If the Pistons were to change their logo and get it out to the public, then why would someone's Twitter handle be pasted all over the photo?
I reached out to the Detroit Pistons for a comment about the leaked image.
"We're not changing our logo next season, that was a leaked erroneous report," Vice President of Public Relation for the Detroit Pistons Kevin Grigg said over the phone.
Well there you have it. The Pistons logo will remain the same for the 2016-17 season. I like the logo they are currently using and wouldn't change it. The Pistons home red, white and blue is classic, why change it?
