Detroit Officer Hit By Truck
A Detroit Police officer is in critical condition after being hit by a truck Monday afternoon while on duty.
Detroit Police Sgt Eren Stephens tells WWJ, the officer was hit by the mail truck near Cass and Fort Streets. Sgt Stephens says it appears that the truck may have turned in front of the officer.
The officer, an 11-year veteran of the department, is being treated at Detroit Receiving Hospital.
