Detroit Man Turns Self In In Wife's Slaying
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say a man walked into a Detroit Police Department on Friday and confessed to killing his wife.
A police spokesperson told WWJ Newsradio 950 the suspect, accompanied by his pastor, reported the murder around 7 a.m. inside the department's Eastern District.
The husband allegedly told investigators that he had fatally shot his wife inside their home on Bedford Street Near Mack and Outer Drive in Detroit. When police arrived to investigate, they found the woman dead inside the home with a gunshot wound to her body.
WDIV-TV reported that three children, who were in the home at the time of the slaying, were taken to a neighbor before the man went to a police station.
The husband, whose name has not been released, remained in custody Friday afternoon.
No possible motive has been disclosed as an investigation continues.
