Detroit Man Charged With Attempted Murder For Shooting At Undercover Cop
DETROIT (WWJ) - A 26-year-old Detroit man has been charged Sunday for allegedly firing three shots at an undercover Wayne County Sheriff's deputy on the city's east side.
Police say Andrew Knott fired from a car at the 7-Mile/Ferguson Marathon gas station off the Southfield Freeway on Thursday. The area is known for narcotics trafficking.
The officer was not injured.
Knott is being held on a $1 million dollar bond. If convicted of the attempted murder and firearm charges, he could spend life in prison.
