QB Shaun Hill saw his most extended work of the preseason Saturday and scuffled. He completed 7 of 15 passes for 67 yards and couldn't generate points twice after taking over in the red zone. Earlier in the week, NFL Network analyst and former head coach Brian Billick called Hill the best backup quarterback in the NFL. "Wow," coach Jim Schwartz said. "There's a reason that we acquired him a couple years ago and there's a reason we worked hard to get him back under contract. He was a priority for us. But the thing that you would hope the most with Shaun is that he never gets the chance to prove that. The best backup quarterback is the one who never gets a chance to prove it."
